4 am

The difference between writing in the morning and at night is jarring. At 4 am in the morning, I can roll through a couple hundred words relatively easy but now at 5:13 p.m. and it’s like I got mush face and brains.

4 am me has clear and coherent thoughts. 5:13 pm me has a great idea to write about for tomorrow but forgot it 17 seconds later.

Everyone is wired differently, but I can’t do any meaningful work after 4 most days. So the rest of this is likely gonna be hot garbage. You’ve been warned.

Every week I see some sort of article online about “these CEO’s get up at 4 am and that’s why they are successful” as well as the converse. The reality is we all have some sort of crazy clock and we need to be true to it.

Even back in the day, aka when I was in college, I would stay out until 3 a.m. and be up at 8:30 or 9:00, regardless of how I felt. Chipper chipper and ready to go. This is still the case.

At this very moment though, I’ve got nothing so I’m going to say have a nice day and enjoy your weekend.

I’ll be up at 5 to try again tomorrow.
