My Teeth were falling out.
Sunday , after my longest work week of the year I slept for 12 hours straight. Like in a coma with my wife blow drying her hair in the same room and I don’t budge, dead asleep. During this sleep i had some vivid dreams. One of which I somehow stole some redneck’s minivan mistaking it for my own. To get me back they tied live pigs to the trailer hitch to I guess, make me slow down so they could get me to switch back to their shitty minivan. I of course stopped so as not to kill the pigs, but as dreams go, of course they didn’t switch vans with them. I got back in and started driving it. Then a plume of water shot out of the dashboard but didn’t hit me or mysteriously get anything wet. It just stopped. None of this was at all out of place or disturbing about my dream. No. That happened when my teeth started falling out. Like 20 of them. One at a time.
The human brain is a messed up thing. I mean I could actually feel the underside of my fallen out teeth and the space left over from where the teeth were. In my dream I was of course freaked out as more and of my teeth fell out and I became half toothless. The first one was troubling, by the time most of the right side of my mouth was empty I was downright disturbed. I awoke thinking I was going to need dentures but relieved when I still had my teeth. I was still wondering about those piglets.
As I have a googler in my hands I decided to see what the powers that be in dream sciences thought about this particular experience. Without being too disparaging, I look at the dream sciences a lot like I would a psychic. Completely made up. I mean it’s not fair to one of them but it’s how I feel so sorry if any of you out there are a psychic. HIYO!!
There were lots of “meanings” that encompassed a lot. Weirdly like all psychic and interpretation things. Both the positive or negative interpretations could be true.
Negatives:
Insecurities, especially about a personal loss ✅
Anxiety about sexual experience
A compromise that is costly to you
Life changes and “growing pains”✅
Fear of becoming older✅
Positive meanings
Signs of personal expansion✅
Wish or need to nurture yourself more carefully✅
An invitation to explore feelings of loss and personal growth✅
A call to look at your support system
The Jungian interpretation: Times of renewal and “rebirth”✅
So really it could mean anything we naturally stress about. Seems a tad convenient. Maybe I need to get paid to be a dream interpreter.
What they all failed to mention was the ultimate interpretation. The overwhelming thanks you have when you wake up and realize it was just a dream.
If you’re wondering the pigs only represent the red necks poverty of having nothing more to use than my inner guilt to thwart my klepto-van stealing. Jungian interpretations my ass...
