NUMBER 6! January

It’s fitting that this post falls on Christmas as it was a gift to myself that I didn’t realize a year ago. I didn’t know then if I’d just write one post and then another one 3 weeks later then get distracted and let writing go until the next time I got the urge to do it again. By the time 2020 gets here, I’ll have written more than 3/4 of the days of 2019 and that’s been gratifying.

This post is really about stepping outside ourselves and gazing back with at the least, mild objectivity. It’s about depression and my bouts with such. It questions if this may just be the mental default instead of the exception.

As I read back on it, the familiar #hugsandhi5s I have ended all of these posts with was a clunky “Hugs and hi 5s”. Proof that I had no intentions of much more than this post. A start to a year of airing my personal grievances with myself mostly and others kind of.

I truly hope you and yours have a Merry Christmas. I am extremely grateful that you take a few minutes out of your day to read these sometimes rambling words. I look forward to continuing on with you or by myself. Though that wouldn’t be as fun.

If you have any time over the coming days, give this one a read.
