How much Patrick Fellows is too much Patrick Fellows?
If we put out just a little effort, cool shit is all around us. I was reminded of this on Tuesday. I’d had a busy day and I was hanging out in the backyard going through emails and such. Mostly deleting.
There in my inbox lay opportunity in the form of an email to Pat Fellows....of Burlingame, CA.
I have written about pro hockey player Patrick Fellows of Mississauga, Ontario, CA in previous posts (click me). Turns out there’s another (read three) me.
I have received emails for this other Pat Fellowses for three years or so. He’s a contractor of sorts or at the least deals with permits a lot. I usually just respond to them with “This isn’t that Pat Fellows” and let it go. I get his “Wildfire Credit Union Bank Statements are Ready” announcements every month. No access to his accounts. I mean of course I checked. What if this other me was a billionaire. Maybe he’d adopt himself?
Anyhow. This Tuesday’s email was an estimate on a tree removal. As Burlingame is in redwood country. I clicked to see what it would cost to bring down a giant of the wooods. Spoiler alert. It’s a mere cedar and it will cost $3500. Included in this estimate was a phone number. So of course. I texted him.
I’d like to say that this PF was as excited about meeting himself as I was but either he’s real busy or just a drip. He responded with a couple short messages that said his name was spelled “Fellowes” and that people made that mistake a lot. NO WAY! Lame. I wanted some banter.
Before we chalk this up as a total loss, there it was. He thanked me for forwarding the estimate and then informed me that the aforementioned Wildfire Credit Union wasn’t in California. It was in Saginaw,MI.
WHAT!?!?
There’s another me out there. And I’m on a mission to find him.
Seek out something cool this weekend. It’s probably right in front of you.
