My Journey

public.jpeg

I wish there was another word for journey that wasn’t worse than journey, As of now. I haven’t found it. This probably seems like a petty and dumb thing to be aggravated about, but I feel I’ve been pretty open and honest about my pettiness and stupidity.  I’m on a 14 year old girl petty level, which if you know anything about pettiness, is like FloJo level.

I get it. We are all living this life and figuring it out as we go. To be fair, when I think journey, I think Magellan and circumnavigation, and Steve Perry being forever yours, faithfully. Not very many of us have been on cross the ocean trips. Also, not many of us have seen a Steve Perry Journey. Which is the only real form of that band.

I think maybe I’m just suffering from “my journey” fatigue. We all feel the need at one time or another, describe our path as “our journey”.  I’m sure I’ve talked about my journey before. Due to this new aggravation, I’m here to promise to never do so again. Until I accidentally do.

Instead, I’ll be referring to my path through this life as my peregrination or maybe my wanderjahr, or promenade. Is “my crusade” too much?  I’m trying. I could go 80’s stoner and this could just be “my cruise”.  I think I may be on to something with that last one. Kind of a “Spuds McKenzie meets Dalai Llama meets David Goggins meets David Lee Roth”.

So if y’all could start talking about “your cruise” I’d appreciate it. “My journey” is just an old meme.
